Desert Vista Advisors
Advisory Support & Executive Coaching
I strive to:
Understand each person, organization, situation, and issue.
Bring objectivity, compassion, and interest with the goal of achieving positive and sustainable results.
My experience is diverse. I began my career in hospital management in southern California. Early on I was attracted to the world of consulting and was the first graduate of the UCLA Program in Health Services Management to join a “Big 8” firm (Coopers & Lybrand which is PWC today). Following my interest in the consolidation of the healthcare industry and growth of health systems I was recruited into a leadership role at HealthWest (a regional health system), and spent nearly 9 years in various senior leadership roles. I then returned to the world of Consulting, enjoying 30 years as a Consultant/Partner with three global executive search firms (my last 18 being with Spencer Stuart where I served as the Healthcare Services Practice Leader and Manager of the Los Angeles Office).
A strong believer in the importance of succession planning, I prepared for my next chapter by becoming certified as an Executive Coach through the Hudson Institute of Coaching in Santa Barbara.
In 2019, I established Desert Vista Advisors where my coaching practice focuses on executive and leadership coaching, 360 Performance Feedback, Onboarding and Transition Coaching.
My executive coaching clients have included a wide variety of backgrounds and functions, including:
Consultants
Healthcare Executives
Non-profit Leadership
Managed Care Executives
I received a Master of Public Health from the University of California, Los Angeles. My Bachelor of Arts is from United States International University, Cal Western campus. I am a member of the Hudson Community of Coaches. I am a former Regent and Life Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives, and served as Chair of the ACHE Consultants Forum.
